Corporate Retreats and Luxury Business Travel

Yesterday, I revealed Conde Nast Traveler's Business Travel Award for best U.S. hotel chains. In case you missed it, the surveyors awarded Peninsula the best U.S. hotel chain, receiving 93.3% out of 100, a cool five points ahead of the second place Rosewood. Today, it's time to reveal the choice for the best international hotel chain.

If you don't travel internationally, you may have never heard of a few of these hotel chains. But you should. Statistically these hotels scored higher than their U.S. counterparts. Personally, when I travel internationally, I prefer to stay at small, independently owned hotels, however for business travelers, chain hotels offer the best options for high speed internet and business facilities.

And the winner is…..

The Oberoi that received 95.5% out of 100. They also scored tops in three categories, business services/facilities, front desk services, and a perfect score for overall design. Coming in a very close second, is the Peninsula once again, scoring 95.2%, with the top score for rooms equipped for working and a perfect score for dining/restaurants. It should be noted that no U.S. hotel chains scored a perfect score in any category.
